Search Emails by Remembered Book Title
The best way to deal with forgetting where you bought an e-book is to search your emails.
No matter which e-book platform you purchased from, you usually receive an order confirmation email sent to your registered email address. Therefore, by searching for the order confirmation email, you can almost certainly find out where you bought the e-book.
However, there are cases where you cannot find the e-book even by this method:
- If you use an app that does not require email registration
- If you have discontinued the email address you used previously
In these two cases, use the following method to find your e-book.
Log in to E-book Platforms and Search
If you cannot find the e-book by searching emails, you have no choice but to log in to each e-book platform one by one and check.
Especially with manga apps, many allow reading e-books without even registering an email or creating an account, so this is the only way to search.
However, since this method is troublesome, if the e-book costs only a few dollars, such as a volume of a split version, it may be faster to repurchase it on major platforms like Amazon.
If You Still Can't Find It, There Is No Other Way
If you still cannot find the e-book you purchased by either of the above two methods, searching becomes hopeless.
To avoid such situations in the future, try to buy e-books on major platforms like Amazon or on electronic book platforms operated by large bookstores.
E-books often have sales and campaigns on each platform, so it’s easy to end up buying in a scattered way. However, it is more convenient for management and searching if you consolidate your purchases on a few platforms rather than spreading them out too much.
